Change the theme of Plymouth

Plymouth is the new splashscreen boot and shutdown Ubuntu 4.10 replacing xsplash , derived from the Fedora project.
Here's how to change the default theme Plymouth:

1: Go Applications> Accessories> Terminal

2: Type the following command and press enter:
sudo update-alternatives - default.plymouth-config
A list that will list the available themes, each with a number
cataloged.

3: Choose the theme you want it to default
and type the number corresponding to it, then press enter.

4: To apply the changes type sudo update-initramfs-u

5: Reboot the system.

To install additional themes you need to install one or more packages of this list:

plymouth-theme-fade-in
plymouth-glow-theme
plymouth-theme-sabily
plymouth-solar-theme

You can also install themes official derivative of Ubuntu by installing one or more packages of this list:

plymouth -theme-kubuntu-logo
xubuntu-plymouth-theme
Lubuntu-plymouth-theme
plymouth-theme-ubuntustudio
