Unity will include the Compiz window manager, but for graphics cards old or not supported by Canonical is developing a special version of Unity which will be based on the Qt library and written in QML.
Qt is a library for developing cross-platform GUI programs through the use of widgets (gadgets or graphics). Qt is widely used in the KDE Desktop.
You can still access the desktop classic Classic selecting Ubuntu Desktop momendo to login.
